Beau just doesn't get that way of posting, usually he starts 20 threads, each get one post telling him to use the thread he started 5 minutes ago for the same thing and then they disappear...
:D I noticed that, thought my reply may give him a hint, but for some reason I highly doubt it :D :chin:

Well i have had a range of different quotes, but basically it come down to what i want and the quality of workmanship! The quote range from £120-250 Thats for a refurbishment on the slight few kerb marks ive got :bang: then re polishing the silver and machining out the part i want black and powder coat that and putting a protective gloss like layer over the top of it all too, can think what its called atm. But im going to a place just down the road from me, although i havent got a quote from them though! But they did skate2create wheels, the blue bravo with the black/silver wheels and he says they're (y) so we'll have to see how it goes there tomo.

does that sport button make a big difference (suspension, throttle response ) ?

Sounds like a reasonable price for that mate, all the work involved in doing this sort of thing you have to expect to pay the money for a good job. That place sounds like they are doing just that, I really need to find a quality place down here.
Do you think it needs to be a proper wheel refurb place or can any good bodyshop do them to a standard where they are well protected, after all wheels come in for a lot of wear and tear ?

Yes very big difference. Press it whilst hovering around 2500 revs and the car pulls like mad, it's like having a nitrous button or something :D The zorst growls a bit more with it on, which will be highlighted even more once the Miltek is on next week. I haven't noticed any major difference in the suspension though, mainly because I haven't been pushing the car to it's limits on bends so unless I did it probably wouldn't be obvious, it does feel a little more twitchy with it on, more kart like.

I thought it was because the Koa forum?

Why they paint the calipers blue? Seems such a random colour to go or did they want green but the Skoda VRs had taken it?
Yes blue is a very strange choice, but I think the reasons were, the Arden Blue colour used on the VXR is exclusive to that car so that was carried over to the calipers so you get it no matter what colour car you have. I really wasn't sure about them but they don't show up that much in reality, but I will paint them when I get my wheels done.

I was thinking blue's a bit weird aswell. Because, like the vRS calipers they have no writing on them and seems Vauxhall just painted any old colour on! Not sure what I'd change them to... red body and green brakes go well you know ;) :D
Or just put more money on the credit card and go for some Brembos

Well I have read this in quite a few reviews, if that's the case then why are they not marked as Brembos

Customer cars get a full Brembo brake package that should offer devastating stopping power.

Keep em silver :p and tint the windows instead.
Not sure I'd get away with tinting them mate, they are really quite dark already and with an almost black interior that makes them look even darker.

What's the Blaupunkt Sat Nav hingy like? Is it aftermarket/OE?

I think the blue calipers draw more attention for the simple reason of their colour, painting them blue will only make 95% of folks think it is an SRI.

The sat nav unit is very good Liam, very accurate and clear in it's guidance, it's got walk mode on it too. It's aftermarket, I went with that option because I only use it occasionally so it wasn't worth paying an extra £1,200 for something that's used once every two months.
I was gonna get one of the road angel navigators with the camera detectors, but in the end I figured it would only encourage me to be naughty and less cautious in my driving.

When I was helping my friend get his 02 plate Astra SXi there was a 2 door 05 Astra in the show room, not the VXR as that wasn't around yet but I sat in it and It just seemed like the perfect replacement to my Tipo, Loads of interior room, nice Thick Doors (unlike the Tipo) and the steering wheel was small too and the gear stick was nice and it just seemed like I should have one of these.. but its not in my price bracket :(

You could always look at a the previous model Astra SXi. It's not as bad as the reviews all make it out to be. I know someone who recently bought one and it seems well built and with nice comfy sporty seats and loads of equipment.

Yes I like the old astra, I think it has a lot of character and mods really nicely.

I am now thinking of getting my wheels done like this :D

What do you think guys, or should golden boots only be seen on scoobys and renaults, would I just look a right plonker ?

I only have a few days to make up my mind

Na I reckon some dark ones will look good (not sure on correct term, but see pics of New Civic Type-R concept). I think they'd go well with the red, gold looks better on blue cars IMHO.

Im not convinced tbh... they might rub on the arches
:chin: Good point, maybe try some size 10's :chin: In black though, the gold really doesn't work does it

On a more serious note, the exhaust is now in stock so that should be going on this week, I really can't wait, the car sounds great already so with that on I expect bigger and better noises to be expelled.
I'll get some video sorted soon if anyone is interested ?

Also there will be a visit to the London area in the near future so maybe a mini meet once I have sorted some business out ?
