There are so many sensible drivers between the age of 20-25, surely that should be taken into consideration a bit more for cars like this.
ah but the sensible ones buy fiats ;) :p

The C4 is nice and its quite a rare car on the road well in coupe form people seem to be catching on that its a hell of a lot of car for little money now though.

I mean the VTR+ can be had for £11k comes with just about everything including part of the dress up kit, 17" wheels Dual zone climate cruise control pretty much everything. Cant really get many cars as well spec'd for the money.

But i just want something thats got a bit more oomph.

Just cant afford insurance as well as the car. Plus i refuse to spend over £3,000 on just insurance its not worth it. Unfortunately all cars get high insurance due to me living in central manchester highest risk zone you can get. And with my age and the fact i've only been driving 18 months they dont really wanna give me sensible quotes. Ah well just have to wait a couple years.

Ok lets put this into perspective... Mines pretty much identical to this same wheels spoiler etc. Just mine doesnt have the 180bhp motor under the bonnet.

And some how your telling me thats not a nice looking car....come on get a grip. The punto which you adore so much has nothing on the C4, Considering its french the C4's build quality is amazing much better than anything else in the citroen range mainly cause its not all cheap plastic... like the punto :) i just found the punto in general after my clio a big disapointment i have ot say the interior was near enough as cheap feeling as the clio which is saying something.

go sit in one and tell me there not nice cars to be in!

Its fresh and its different comfortable and get very high equipment levels.

We will agree to disagree. The way i see it though fiat havnt really blown me away with there new designs the grande punto i thought looked great when i saw the pictures big let down in the metal though wasnt as nice as i was expecting it to be. The C4 is bloody lovely though get a lot of attention and nearly everyone that sees it likes it. Not had anyone (except you) tell me its ugly. Looks a lot better on the road than in pictures though.

Dont do maccies mate and im not someone that goes to cruises or meets either my car is for me to enjoy and drive not to sit about in a carpark and act like a tit and no was more family, friends people that see my park up and ask what the car is etc.

Kinda nice that you started to insult me with the mc donalds comment though much appreciated.

Well I've always thought the C4 looks good, like a proper Citroen should, especially after they went through a bit of a crappy stage over the last 10 years.

I'd pick a Punto over a C4 though... personal preference :D

asking where it was is not insulting, saying "The punto which you adore so much has nothing on the C4, Considering its french the C4's build quality is amazing much better than anything else in the citroen range mainly cause its not all cheap plastic... like the punto" on a forum for fiats is though.
so comments are from more family, friends, people that wouldnt want to hurt your feelings then

The laughing guy thing just wound me up the wrong way for some reason sorry about that mate. Just a bad day just got all defensive.

But in all honesty I was just a bit dissapointed with the Punto considering the one I drove was a new one 55 reg i was expecting more. The Brava I had a few years ago was lovely and I love my Cinquecento. I just expected so much more and was let down.

The one I was driving had less than 2000 miles on the clock and the number of rattles it had was incredible was driving me bloody mental driving it.The bodyroll was terrible steering lacked feedback taking long sweeping corners at speed didnt feel nice to me at one point i was getting ready for it to go sliding across the road i was only doing 30 as well just didnt feel very happy the body of the car was at a stupid angle and im used to the C4 going over the same corner an staying perfectly flat and much more direct feeling then again i dont really rate the C4 on its feedback either. You can feel when its getting to the limits but next minute you know the back end breaks loose and your sat there going hmm ****! Doesnt give you any warning its gonna actually go as such.

The C4 is just a bit more of a newer fresher design and its a little more eye catching where as the punto is starting to look dated and not quite as well built as the rest of the fiat range.

But compared to most of the hatches out now in that segment only the new astra sports hatch and the C4 really stand out from the rest. The new focus is horrible, The 307 is dull, the megane is fugly, civic looks like a bread van. The stilo is nice but getting on a bit and wasnt willing to buy one now with a new model due out soon. So came down to the C4 or astra for me the C4 in what i was after was the better choice even though the astra was a better car.

And the comments have mainly come from people when i've parked up at tesco whatever to do shopping and people have asked about it wondering what there like since citroen have the image of making cheap nasty cars which for the most part is true. The C4 though was a good leap forward for them and hopefully will only get better with the newer cars.

Always loved Fiats myself though. So has my family why we have had so many. i Myself cant wait to get rid of my C4 in around 18 months though as then it will be big upgrade time.

I'd say the choice you made was spot on. The C4 is better looking than the normal astra H that's for sure. It's the presence of the VXR that really makes it shine, in your face bodykit and speed to match it's looks, I couldn't ask for more, and with the bhp gains I am looking at with just stage 2 then it really will be car that will last me a long time, or at least as long as I am planning it to this time.

Wow, not long now

Bet you can't wait - so will this be the final drive in the Stilo? Will you shed a tear as you hand over the keys, or be whooping for joy as you get in your new beast :D

Well now I have a bit longer to wait :(

Just been called and the car won't be ready till midday. Pain in the arse really, we were going out for lunch, but it's just one of those things :bang: They are just finishing off the superguard.

I think to bo honest Stu I won't be that sad when it comes to it. The excitement of the new one is what's on my mind right now and the thought of handing over the Stilo just hasn't come into it today. I thought I would be quite sad

Maybe you will feel different when you see the car been driven around town, after the new owner has kerbed the alloys, dented the wings, and scratched the paintwork ;)

Roll on midday - I remember picking up the Ulysse on the 1st September 2003 - I was soooo excited :D then got to the dealership, to find it wasn't to spec (n) even though they then tried to fob me off, etc.

I think that's why I have butterflies in my stomach, I'm a bit of a pessimist so I am expecting at least something to go wrong. If it all goes well than that will be a first.

If I see my car being driven around and it's not been looked after I will more likely laugh and say, what a plonker. A car like that warrants a lot of care and looks amazing when it's cleaned up, anyone who don't do that will just be missing out on a real eye catcher :)

I have had quite a bit of interest in the Stilo, in fact there's a couple of guys who want it but were unable to finance it so are looking at going through the dealers to get it. Trouble is they will be paying a few more grand for it than I was offering it for. I would have dropped my car to 7.5K if someone would have offered that but too late :D :p
