Thanks Wozza (y) No plans for the exterior but there's a few mods planned for the other parts :D

Engine remap from angel will up the power to 280bhp:slayer:  with no other mods needed.

I'm gonna get a dvd installed in the back for the nippers, probably one of the blaupunkt ones like this :

Other than that, just the usual little things.

Just remember Mark, if you get a DVD like that installed, your roof lining may sag and you might have to do some work to get the wires out of the way

To be perfectly honest I won't be fitting it myself because for one I wouldn't have a clue where to start and secondly I wouldn't want my roof lining to start hanging down  Is this something that happens quite often then ?
Where and how is the dvd player attached, any ideas ?

Engine remap sounds good. Wouldnt expect any changes to be made to the exterior looks pretty much perfect as it is all thats needed is the 19's which you have. But with the remap shoudl be fun can go upset a few impreza owners anyway.

Go have a look in a car audio store at some various screens though some of them are bit cheaper and have better screen on them. So might be worth going in save some pennies and get a better product possibly.

Roof lining should not be a problem if done properly if they secure the cabling etc. If your not happy with it though can always tell them to sort it. Can recommend the car audio centre for fitting things though not sure if there is one down there. Guys were great with my car. Since I didnt wanna fit my system myself in this car I didnt fancy taking the C4 dash apart too many electrics plus french car recipe for disater.

Thanks for the info wozza, i'll look into that company tomorrow (y)

If you do go to one do not pay the price they ask for lol. Found out they can change prices for certain things a fair bit. My Components were on the shelf at £170 they were bought and installed for £100.

 sweet sweet ride, love it. Though I think you will miss that little button that says auto from time to time :p . And chipping it to 280 bp damn, poor tires. but in the end its all worth it, isnt it ? :)
looking forward to updates when you pick her up

Thanks Johny :)

Yes I will miss the semi auto side to my car. I never used the full auto button, only once or twice to make sure it still worked and sometimes I switched it into full auto when the car was in the bodyshop and the dealers

I think it's worth every sacrifice I am making to get this car, I am not getting any younger and I want to enjoy the cars I have before it's too late if you get my drift.

I have loved the Stilo and I will be sad when I leave it at the dealers but that feeling of joy when I get in the new motor will completely put that sadness to the back of my mind.

I do find though, no matter how much you like your car, when it comes to getting a new one you convince yourself that there's loads of reasons to switch cars. I pick up on all the little things that have never been talked about with my car.

For instance, the baggy seats, it's just something I have noticed a lot on Stilos with leather. My drivers seat leather is all saggy and has been from 1000 miles. I put it down to just one of those things with the stilo and never talked about it because I didn't want to put it in my own mind that there was a problem.

But now, as a way to convince Chrissy we needed a new car I was like " look at the state of that seat, it's disgusting" :D

No two ways about it, next wednesday will be a sad day and some doubts will be creeping in but I know I have done the right thing...

New tyres every 6 months, pah, I'll run them as slicks ;) :D

Mark.

I rang one of these places up today and I have an appointment to take the car in on the 17th to see what the options are, I'll keep you informed, thanks for the help mate (y)

Looking good, it's styling is similar to the Stilo in the way that it has a lot of sharp defined lines, which I think looks much better than these bubble shaped cars you can get. I know it's probably a little too early to ask, but going on first inpressions of the VXR, what would you give it out of 10? ....And what would you give your Abarth out of 10? Just interested to see how much better you think it is.

I think it's a good choice, the Focus ST is OK but a little bit bland, whereas the VXR looks like a 'proper' car!

I'll pm you those details. Being a Fiat Forum I don't think it would be fair to publicly compare the two cars ;)

do a copy/paste of that pm, Im also wondering :)

lol :D Chrissy is too good to me, she would let me have anything I want. If it was up to her we'd have a normal town car but she knows I am the one who has to drive it so it's great :)

I'll send you that PM Johny (y)

That is a great looking car, always loved the fact Vauxhall made the VXR series of models, a much needed improvement over there GSI although you cant escape the fact its still a Vauxhall and its still an Astra :D

;) You may be faster than any Fiat but could never carry the community spirit which is enjoyed in a Fiat... IMO even though no one asked, should have waited for Abarth Grande Punto, similiar size and I think the performance will be very even!

Also, not sure if I read correctly but you swopped your Abarth Stilo for the VXR? Crazy guy :p

Good luck anyway

Adam
