And heres with the final logos installed for my business (I work in car detailing). I painted the rims using plastidip, and went with the ¨Abarth¨ look.
next plans are full coilover suspension to lower it and close future a dodge dart 1.4 turbo 160hp engine swap.

Thanks for your comments! well yesterday I went to my fiat dealership to see the Fiat Qubo (it just got to Chile) left my cargo van and drove off in a new red qubo! so, now I will have to do some customizing on the new one...
Heres at the dealer:

Now Iam working on leaving the paint perfect after the dealer prep, its going to take about 2 days, to leave it to my liking:

And also picked up some new rims.. Iam checking the fitting and stance, and to see it it will rub on anything..

All perfect! so rims are prepped and cleaned with alcohol to remove any oils from factory, and then lightly polished before getting coated with a ceramic coating called Cquarz. tomorrow i have to do some suspencion work to lower it a little, and have the rims mounted i need to put a 1mm spacer in the front to clear the caliper for safety.

I looked on eBay for Plastidip - spray and brush available - which did you use and how easy is it to apply and get a good finish? What prep needed on the rims first?

I see quite a few vans these days with alloys replacing std steels and they look really good. My van will be red like my avatar and I can't decide whether to go for red, chrome or polished rims. Chances of buying stock red ones that match are low I guess.

Nice to see sunshine in your Qubo pics - I've just cleared about 500 yds of 15" depth of ****** snow.... :( It can go now, had enough thanks.

Morning NelsonZapata,
Wow!! a two Qubo owner.....you must really be taken with them. Looking forward to seeing what you do to the new one, (Though I may be jealous).
Cheers Qube O.
Thanks! I loved the Fiorino cargo for work, but buying a unit without ac to save money killed me in the summer, the idea was to go for a Doblo, but after taking a look at the qubo, i decided to buy it, and i can use it still for work and for going out. Also I havent had any issues or problems yet with Fiat. and also the fuel saving from the qubo compared to my other truck (ford expedition 5.4 v8) are amazing! :)

I used the spray can plastidip. It was increidbly easy to use and get a perfect finish, you need 1 can per rim, and alot of light coats. I bought my van in red but going with white rims for contrast, In my opinion it would look to heavy with red rims.
We are still in summer here with about 32 celcius, we dont get snow tho.

I forgot to upgrade hehe...
well the white rims got sold and i bought some new ones.. installed some vinyl graphics:

What did you use on the body to get that gleam? Not the finish from the dealer I guess.. Also did you paint the rear 'bumper' as I think that's usually black even on the Qubo isn't it? I'm tempted to get my van's front end colour-coded to get rid of the heavy look of black against red. Coloured mirror backs are an improvement too. (Chrome is a bit too much really)

It's arrived at the dealer now and I hope to get it on June 7th.

both motors look fab, my qubo is the same as your red one, I got my black bumpers sprayed for £225, can you please tell me whare you got the side graphic from, I want one. thanks. (y)

the bumpers came painted from factory, its a dynamic model so i guess that comes with painted bumpers?

I work in detailing/valeting so the van was machine polished to remove fine scratches from the dealer and also to get a higher shine.

the grafics were made by a local friend, i sent him a picture of the abarth grafics in the 500 and told him to make it in flat black vinyl, they came out perfect.

Heres the latest image, i bought some yellow tinting vinyl and installed on the fog light to make them yellow. a friend asked me to sell him the rims, so today i will go buy some new ones again.

Looking good Nelson..

Must be something good we can do with that 'mouth' grille... Stainless wire mesh or trick paint? :chin:

Since I'm not in the detailing trade, can you expand a bit more on machine polishing please? Is it something I could do at home with a bit of patience and elbow grease or is there an equivalent process?

In this link it explains a bit on paint polishing ;) http://paintcarendetailing.com/polishing.html

Thank you Nelson, that's good. I'll have a proper read. Maybe this is something I'll still have to involve a body shop or other company in doing. Anyone have recommendations for such a firm in the South Yorkshire area? The thought of running amok on a new van with a power lambswool bonnet is a tad scary!

I do like the white wheel look though..

Hi Nelson,

Just wanted to say thanks for putting up all these (very high quality) photos. Don't know what's involved in posting pics on this forum but on some others it's a real pain! It's usually very time consuming at the very least. You're a credit to this forum and an inspiration to us all.

Your vans look terrific - in my opinion, very tastefully and professionally done. I'd never seriously considered putting mags on a van before but after seeing yours I'm going to do the same. Thanks again and looking forward to seeing more of your posts.

Chris
