well thx for the majority of possitive compliments! it is a fantastic car, keep getting out of it with a huge grin on my face... bet i looked a right wolly in tescos this morning lol

as for what else i could have got for my money... vxr corsa.... no thx there common as muck around here and anything infront of the seats if HORRIABLE!... as for the clio... if im truly honest i just dont like them, again the interior is horriable.

ok so what am down on power slightly against both of them but im honestly not bothered, the looks make up for it 10 fold and if in honest the sheer power upto 5k is pritty good! - especially with the power boost on - that doesnt get turned off!!!!

iv never got the whole thing behind the "poor build quality" i recon for the money you pay for a GP its a bloody good car!!! both fiat and abarth have done fantastic jobs.

anyway thx again for all the fantastic comments!!! and as for a meet... im up for it get one centeral am im there - the south coast would be a little 2 far

You do know you need to run it in dont you? IE keep it below 3k for the first 1000 miles and if you are planning on fitting the SS kit you cant hit the rev limiter otherwise they refuse to fit it.

For the exact same money you can buy a 197 cup in glacier white, with black 17" alloy wheels and recaro seats like my old one

and the insurence for me was double that of the abarth.... dont get me wrong i just didnt want a clio, again like vxr corsa there really common around here. id rather have my abarth. however i am looking forward to seeing my mates up and coming 197, but id rather keep it italian!

o and i got mine for £13,150 brand new .... if you get one around this time with the present day money crisis, just dont accept there first offer... hold back a day .... saved me 350 quid

I went back to a 172 cup Rolf. The power delivery of the 197 cup just not the same fella. Beautiful car though, I somethings regret getting rid of it

I seriously like the GPS, I just wish they would revise the chassis. I didn't like the feel of the Abarth either although it did handle slighlty better than the GPS

Astra VXR? Hmm...would rather have the Vectra VXR as it's faster, much more 'omg' inducing, and I've always thought the vectra didnt look too bad.

The interiors on the Astra's / Vectra's are worse than dire though. I'd have to kill myself if I had no choice but to sit in such a piece of **** interior everyday.
