I've steered clear of replying so far, but I'm gonna state my view.

Hitting the kerb at 60mph can't be compared to a sneaky handbrake turn in a wet deserted car park. One is dangerous driving liable to cause serious injury or death, the other is a little fun which is likely to do no harm at all. I regularly drive with the handbrake jammed on up my road at about 5mph when it's icy for a play about, but never when there's cars parked around or anybody in the area.

The damage caused to the car isn't 'just desserts', it's unfortunate and upsetting to the driver but who else's fault is it? If you **** about to this extent, you're gonna get caught out sooner or later. I'm just glad that nobody was seriously hurt.

If I lost control in the ice and bent my car, that'd be my fault and I know the consequences long before I do it, but it's a risk I take too.

Shelly's original post does point out that the lad has made a berk of himself, to be fair.

Tashy, better watch out, more than one agreement per night is bad!

Most of the provisions apply on all roads throughout Great Britain, although there are some exceptions. The definition of a road in England and Wales is 'any highway and any other road to which the public has access and includes bridges over which a road passes'. In Scotland, there is a similar definition which is extended to include any way over which the public have a right of passage. It is important to note that references to 'road' therefore generally include footpaths, bridle-ways and cycle tracks and many roadways and driveways on private land (including many car parks). In most cases, the law will apply to them and there may be additional rules for particular paths or ways. Some serious driving offences, including drink-driving offences, also apply to all public places, for example public car parks.

In the eyes of the laws this would be a serious driving offence and hence would apply to wherever it was if the public had any sort of access to it.

The difference is that no one would consider going that far and it wasn't a one off stupid moment it was part of the evening's stupidity,

everything was goin smooth we went and got some petrol came back started again.

Shelly posted this for the single reason (I am sure of it) just to see us having a go at the tosser who did it.

Alex, of course it's a humilation of someone who did something stupid, it was neither a single event (as above) nor a mistake that falls under the word "reasonable". It put Shelly's life and the other passenger's lives at risk if nothing else!

I will try to resist the urge to reply further lol, i have been good recently on here and will try to continue to do so.

Sammi im in total agreement...i will not post on this thread coz im hoping that it will die out in a fast but painfull way, its a stupid thread and there is no need for it...people who take risks like that (sorry for anyone on here who has but i make no allowances) and so f*cking stupid. they are risking their own life and others and even worse the life of their car.

i hate that i have agreed with Paul on more than one occasion on one thread and that has pissed me off too, so people who do this obviously have less than one brain cell and the crashes that they have can only damage brain cells which im imagining they cannot afford to lose.

phew just to get the rest of my rage out on this topic i leave with this :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

On the positive side/negative side depending on your POV on the bloke and Fords, wouldn't hitting a kerb at 60mph lead to an awful lot of hidden bending?
