Hi their I recently changed my head gasket of my punto mk1 becouse their was lots of mayo in the oil and all the other signs...
when i removed it i cleaned it and took it to be skimmed but not pressure tested.. i installed the new HG and torqued the bolts.. flushed out the oil and the radiator changed the oil filter removed the oil samp and gave it a good cleaning started it up went for a spin and the temp when up and then suddenly stoped opened the bonnet and their was oil every where :bang: i think it was coming out from the breather and into the carburator and i checked the oil and the water and their was mayo again!!!
I give up..apart from buring the whole thing any other ideas?

cheers

hi it depends on what you mean about checked. I checked that they are not blocked but not more then that.

thanks

Did you install the head gasket the right way? It's almost symetrical, but there's an oil passage at the front of the block that will be blocked if the gasket is installed wrong. I don't know if it's feed or return, if it's return the head could've filled with oil and blown it out the breather.

yeah I know what you mean that passage passes oil to the cam shaft, and with the fiat punto you have dowels so its almost impossible to switch....unlike the fiat uno . but I will checkto be sure...I was thinking of changing the cylinder head

thanks for your replys:worship:
