you need to make an engine mount spacer up, made 1 for myself and 1 on slugs 16v ofcourse mine was much nicer

hear is a cad file i just made of the rear disk conversion may edit a bit more as i may be adding a second rear disk for hydraulic handbrake but here is the base design of the bracket

yeah i would say keep grinding it down .

Seeing how thick the mount is, that person must have went through alot of grinding disc!

i've come up with a plan to lighten the rear end the plan is to cut the rear boot floor out and replace it with carbon fiber sheet i will have to look into that too and also considering to make my own carbon fiber wings and bonet

tbh I'm not sure if you'd want to lighten the front end up much if you're adding more power, also I think if the boot floor is crumpled it's an MOT fail because it's a prescribed area, so cutting it out might require further tests (SVA? or current equivalent) if the car is going back on the road.
