As I saw another thread about someone who waxed his GP, I thought about trying it too..It only took me half an hour to wash/wax it with a special product (and it was pretty dirty!) and this is the result :)

I'm styling my punto (inside first, outside afterwards) right now..Will post some pics with styling results later..

That first one- I couldn't tell it was black - was like a mirror!

Well done, I'll try it when I get mine next week.

Very nice job, I have a black Punto too and the results are fantastic after a good polish and then a waxing.

looks good matey, but i dont see how you can achieve a good enough result from just half an hours work, sorry.

half an hour was the work without the alloys..
The alloys took me another haf hour..
But anyway, it looked good yesterday..I drove around for 1 hour and it was dirty again.. Black :yuck:

if you detailed a car fully then it should take a good few hours...

black is great when clean, but not when its dirty!

I do love my black, but after a hour cleaning it, then driving it 13 miles to pick my girlfriend up was covered again :( looks best when its parked up on the drive shining:woot:

What did you use to wax it. Can anyone recommend a wax for a exotica red?

Cheers

Chemical grey looks mighty shiny when waxed aswell. Did mine the other night, didn't get any pics though, and now i've driven to work a couple of times, its filthy again. I used some cheap TurtleWax that was 99p from Home Bargains. Seemed to work well. Not the easiest wax to remove but none of the good ones are!! Its just Turtlewax original which you can get from anywhere.

products i like to use are made by a Uk company called Auto Glym....

They do a full range of car cleaners....

if your car needs a good polish i'd recomend Autoglym Super Resin Polish. (this contains no Wax/sealent, so after use you need to use a sealent such as Auto glym Extra Gloss Protection.

Super resin polish

Extra gloss protection

If your car is a Dark colour this is good too but it doesnt last as long as the 2 above (this is used on its own)

they are all on e-bay if you search for them its just the manufacturers website is easyer to find ;)

somthing like this would be a good start smaller bottles of the most common Autoglym range
