Headgasket can go and leak into the cylinders hence burning off coolant as white smoke through the exhaust. Doesn't always end up in the oil. Have you checked the coolant level?

bit above min isnt goodwas damp this morning though very damp so steam out exhaust could be just damp in side it
bad luck.
the best clue is where all the coolant was leaking from?
from the engine, left side at the bottom, couldnt really see, poured out as quick as you poured it in
then it definately could be the water pump. it the water was coming from behind the cambelt cover then it does look like its the waterpump gasket, in which case the repair wont cost much.
So its been standing a while? The misfire might be because it needs a good run (something could be a bit damp etc).

I'd second that my Alfa didn't like being stood 2 months so I give it a nice 40miles B road hammering.
well i drove it for total 11 miles,
well i was thrashing it about for the 18 miles
