Hi everyone! First time posting here. This is my story (it's a doozy). I purchased a 2022 Fiat500x trekking about 5 months ago. It had 5,000 miles on the odometer, is fully loaded with everything. Ran great. Fast forward to a couple of weeks ago. I had the oil changed in it. Mechanic said it's leaking oil from the oil pan and rear seals. The odometer is now at 17,000 miles.
Also, there seems to be an electrical problem. The dashboard will randomly flash the red seatbelt sign and ding at me. It won't recognize that my seatbelt is indeed buckled, and I have to listen to this thing ding at me while I drive. Also, it will randomly say "service airbag system","auto start/stop disabled","check emergency brake". Sometimes if I stop the car and restart it,it will reset. Other times, as soon as I start the car, warning signals pop up. It's sitting at a Fiat dealership, waiting to be fixed on Monday. Does anyone have an idea what could be wrong with this thing?? Thanks for help!

Bad chips used from China during the chip shortage. Normally the manufactures source them out of Taiwan. It's one of the reasons why FIAT bombed again in the states. Stellantis the parent co. is all about cost cutting.
So you know you are not alone, some have literally had their cars at the dealership for a year and they still can't figure it out. I think they know but it's to costly and to much labor involved. So they string people along, meanwhile you are making payments on a car that in some cases you can't even drive.

Don't hold your breath they will make it right. You may in the end be on a merry-go-round.
Good luck to you.

😳😳. Wow. I'm going to inquire about the lemon law where I live. I don't have time to be fooling with this, you know? I paid $27k for this car!! Ot will trade it in asap! I'm surprised Fiat doesn't have any lawsuits on their hands.

I hear that !
I just bought my spider close to a month ago, if it wasn't mostly Japanese I'd never touch it. And thankfully before the chip shortage. However I'm going through an issue now that has effected the electronics and possibly even air-bag deployment. Sadly caused by an idiot who got into my computer and then could not clear the fault code. I've got a part en-route from the factory in Japan so we will see what happens. If he bricked the computer we are talking thousands. If we get it right I'll be good to go because I bought it with under 10k on the clock and it is in immaculate condition and
I drive less than 2k a year now, it should outlast me. :)

If they can't get you right get out of that dog before it starts nickle&diming you to death. Even at 6 years I paid a chuck of change for my 124.

Just had my 2021 500x sport fixed the other day. I was getting tons of random errors and warning lights.., parking brake unavailable, uconnect unavailable, start stop unavailable, check engine.
Turns out my issue was a faulty clutch position sensor switch. Wasn't too expensive to fix.

My car was finally fixed. They said the sealant was bad and that's how it had an oil leak. Fixed that. And it had an open recall, which fixed all of the crazy warning signs beeping at me. Fingers crossed I have 0 future issues!

Maybe a problem with the body computer? Try to scan it for any trouble codes. maybe it will lead you to the cause of the problem.
