My Fiat 500X 1.0 started dying in the Dartford Tunnel as I was going to a gig at Wembley Arena. It was dark and raining as we entered the tunnel northbound. The car's second hand Spoticar warranty expired about three weeks ago. All was going well until we were bang in the middle of the tunnel and starting to climb out. The car just started misfiring massively and slowing down. I whacked the hazard lights on and had all manner of vehicles hooting and flashing at me as I crawled out! I missed the emergency refuge as I was so focussed on the dashboard and frankly baffled as to what was going on. I limped along at maybe 20mph. There is no hard shoulder. I then got it into a nearby industrial estate.
I parked it up and asked a business there if we could leave it for the night (as we needed to try and get to the gig!)
He said no problem, so I went to the car to fire it up and it would only turn over and not run. I only needed to move it about 30 metres to get it into the car park. In the end we ended up pushing it with the help of a worker who happened to come out of the building.
I got it recovered the next day to my home town and await what the garage say.
I am pretty peed off though. I have only had the car since Nov 2024 and it only has 33K on the clock. Full Fiat service history on it and it's been well looked after.

How annoying. A different car but I had same on my Peugeot and it turned out to be coil packs. Got that fixed and started losing power again and it turned out to have a crack in the petrol tank.

Ending up scrapping this year. I was so upset because I owned it from new, was 7 years old and only had 18,000 miles on the clock
