Hi guys,
a few weeks ago, a woman ploughed into my bravo, and bent my bonnet and scratched my front bumper, after going into the body shop to be repaired, they have said the chassis is out of alignment and needs to go on a jig. how much will this cost?
I look forward to hearing from you, Thanks,
Will

Isn't the insurance covering this ??

If so, you don't need to worry about costs..

i did the front of mine in. It needed;

- front cross member straightening on jig
- front bumper repairing & respraying
- grill repairing & spraying
- slam panel repairing & spraying
- bonnet sttraightening & spraying
- 2 new headlights

cost £700 cash

Ordinarily the insurance would cover this, but as the excess i have to pay looks like it is more than the cost of the claim, i have to get it sorted myself.
£700 looks a bit steap, expecially as when it is fixed it'll only be worth that much part ex anyway.
looks like i'm going to look for a new car.
Thanks,
Will

If it was the womans fault then surley she'd pay, and her insurance would have paid for your excess?

If the woman was at fault, her insurance should pay, and there would be no excess - you're not claiming off your insurance!

i concur. its not your insurance. But, if its bent, then they'll write it off as an beyond economic repair, and cat D it. You can then repair yourself if you wish.
Just make sure you get enough money from the claim. dont be afraid to reject it if its too low to buy another bravo of same age/spec.
