A very valid opinion, Dan.
I have owned 4 Tipos, 3 Puntos and 2 Bravos. All of which, barring the 2.0 Sedicivalvole Tipo have been rather flimsly and unreliable. The have been no MAJOR explosions, but by and large it hasn't been a good story.
I have previously owned a Mazda 323ZXi SE, which actually looked quite good as well as being reliable and very swify. I now have an Integra, whhich you may possibly think looks a little dated, but it is (so far) faultless. The wife has had Civic's for thepast five years and they too have proven solid.
Cars from the land of the rising sun may at times look bland, but their reliability is a whole lot better than those made in Torino. The Turin cars are a heap more stylish though!
Interstingly enough, the Clio 172 was on my shorlist before I bought the Integra!
