General My 1959 fiat 600d (new to forum)

Hi everyone im new to this forum & here is my 1959 fiat 600d
that i have owned for 15 years, She had been off the road for 30+ years before
we got it, she was in solid condition needing very little welding just had surface rust and mechanical problems, over a 10 year period we rebuilt it, and last year was the first year on the road, I now have to go thought the hassle off re registering it on a new number, as when we got it there was no paper work at all, which is a shame, as the car is a local car registered and sold in ipswich by revits they where suppliers off micro cars & motorcycles but because i have no 1983 > paper work i can not get the original number. So i have to go down the route of a age related number, so i have got a dating later done by mike haveron of fiat groupe automobiles ltd, however this isnt one of the dvla reconised clubs so im not sure it will be accepted? I have also filled in as much off the v55/5 as i can, supplied a copy of my id & proof off where i live, now im wondering if anyone can help me with any advise they have? or maybe where i can get a reconised dvla dating later from in the past i tried (fiat motor club) thomas jones, but everytime i spoke to him he said he would assist then never did?
here i have a few pictures off my little gem, i also have a 1970 fiat 500 to restore soon along with alot off classic minis! Aidan

Welcome

Having a date of manufacture letter from the actual manufacturer should be better than that from a club, so you should be able to get the DVLA to recognise it.

Fiat 500 Club (UK) with sccess in getting my original number. I did have anold-reen

I used the Fiat 500 Club, contact Paul Anderson. I got back the original number but I did have a green logbook. They do have to charge a fee.

Good luck with that...it's a very lovely car and you and it will be made very welcome here.

ok thanks, well i will send it all off & see if it gets rejected, if it does i will get onto him, thanks early 600s seem very rare, are there many on here?
