Punto (Mk2/2b) Munkul's thread

Introduction

well, i put a deposit down on a 52 plate Mk2 today, very happy!

its in very nice condition, standard, no signs of crash damage or owt, the only bits were a slight ding in the passenger side rear arch, and slightly kerbed alloys :)

well i think it will be an ongoing project, as long as its reliable enough!

the interior pic is quite rubbish, but the seats still look a little dirty  apparently a common problem....

i get to pick it up on saturday the 5th jan, it getting MOTed by dealer, etc

i cant wait
Fair enough. Bit low for my liking, especially as it looks like it lives on a farm.

its a perfect place for the air filter, apart from the risk of low-level floods. Ive escaped pretty well this winter with it on all the time, mainly because i refuse point-blank to go down the riskier backroads when its been raining.

what do you mean about the wheel offsets?

Cold air wise its the best place for it, the same place as the AEM filter is on my CTR. Not good for bad weather though, in heavy rain VTEC won't engage.

Probably one of my favourite mk2s this one.

the filter just needs a clean. Its the second filter ive had for it anyways, only done a few thousand miles.

im having a new abarth bumper, and sorry mike no i dont fancy doing you a smoothed one in exchange for yours :p

I MIGHT have it sorted in time for donny, fingers crossed :)

where abouts did you get the piping for it or is a gsr or a custom jobbie?

I prefer the standard bumper to the wide mouth idea. But it could look cool!:) Sorry to see the car damaged, always a bit of a downer when it happens!!

Anyone find out if oldschool figured out how to route the induction kit in the Bravo 16v? He said there were spacing issues but for some reason or another decided not to get back to me after I had tried getting in contact a few times!!
