Technical Multipla indicators flashing when parked

Just today noticed that all indicators were flashing as if the hazard lights were on. They were not but could not see any reason. Indicators would stop flashing if moved the indicator stalk or put the car keys in but after a bit would then start flashing again.

Eventually they did stop flashing but would not be surprised if it starts again.

Any suggestions?

I had one where I had to pull the hazard lights witch out as it was a bit sticky internally. Not sure it is your issue but it had me head scratching for a bit.

I did wonder about that and put hazards on and off. Seemed to move smoothly and did not stop the flashing lights. Has not happened again yet so a bit odd.

Will let people know if I find cause.

Does the car have an alarm system?

Yes it does and normally alarm sounds if an issue. I checked doors were all shut and could not see any reason for the alarm. And if it was alarm then using key or unlocking car etc should have turned it off. It did not.
