Multipla Tempomat
A long time ago I installed cruise control on my JTD multi. I was not lucky enough to have the system wired, but that didn't deter me, I did it and it worked perfectly. If your car has the wires, you just have to connect them, enable them with diagnostics and it works!
First steps: you need a cruise control lever that is compatible with the Multipla. This lever is found in the Alfa Romeo 156! The one for the 147 is NOT good! The steering wheel switch of the Multi is mostly suitable for receiving the cruise control lever, if not, i.e. the receiving tab is missing, then unfortunately it also has to be replaced because otherwise the cruise control lever cannot be fixed!
Since I didn't have the cruise control wired, I used a UTP cable to connect the ECU.
I also purchased a disassembled Fiat engine control connector to get pins from it, since some connectors need to be connected to the engine control, to unused places, which is why I need the connectors.
You may also need a cruise control brake light switch, which is a three-wire one. The two-wire one needs to be replaced with this one for the system to work.
When everything is available, you need to connect the wires to the ECU according to the wiring diagram. The power supply must be connected without interrupting the wire, of course. If you want a warning light about the cruise control activity, you also need an LED, which you need to connect according to the diagram, I did not use this.
After connecting, you may also need to activate the cruise control with diagnostics, this was not necessary for me either, I connected everything and it worked. I have made a wiring diagram in English, I hope it will help you with the connection if the wiring is not installed.
I wish you good work!
