Tuning Multijet Turbo Intake?

i take it u can do nothing with this engine after hours of crawling the net ive found nothing, is it all universal stuff u have to use

whats this regarding tunning? look on this site for 5 minutes and theres quite a few things,

Induction kits (GSR, K&N)
Intercooler (Forge, GSR)
Remaps
Exhaust systems
Hybriding Turbo
Custom Manifolds so you can install any turbo

thers no pipework any wer, i asked for pipework not exhausts or inductions remaps, just pipework cheers for pointing out err nothing

theres a main reason why no one makes off the shelf silicone pipes for the mjet diesel,

diesel engines need to have FLURO LINED SILICONE HOSES ANYWHERE AFTER THE TURBO(which are pricey), as this stops the oil that is in the air from leeching through the silicone and eventually holing or rotting the pipe making it burst.

if you read the thread by alexh365, he has made a custom induction using normal universal silicone hoses, which is perfectly alright as the induction is on the inlet side of the turbo, therefore should be no oil to damage the silicone.

more on fluro lined hoses...

Fluorosilicone rubber is a material that has significantly greater chemical resistance than silicone. It is resistant to hydrocarbon fluids (petrol / diesel / oil) and solvents, and is typically used in applications where the temperature range of –60 to +225°C is required but where silicone is not resistant to the chemicals that the part will be exposed to.

thanks for clarifying this mate, i was unaware of tht so thanks, so is it not possible to change intercoolers on deisels without these pipes

You can use non fluro lined silicone, but I assume you want to improve reliability while improving power etc, so I'd strongly recommend using fluro lined pipes . I've spoke to forge about doing aftermarket pipes etc for us mjetters but they said it's not worth it due to cost and tooling. You could do what alexh365 has done by making your own induction, and use same theory on other pipework... Remove your existing pipe/s measure accurately internal dimensions., length, bends etc , then source a fluro lined silicone equivalent, or similar and cut to size as needed. Job done

Oh and your question, yes it's possible cos forge do a replacement intercooler kit, look at there site, but it's way overpriced for what it is, it doesn't replace any original pipework, it merely joins onto standard fiat pipework.

yeah way over priced rather get a uni, im wanting to upgrade intercooler but wanted orange piping wasnt aware of fluro, maybe it may be a case of using the originals, if its tooo costly for fluro

yeah arch induction, tuning box, full custom stainless steel and custom high flow sports cat on monday, then winterwarmer then remap, like id just change an intercooler :S

If you've got an Mjet then I wouldn't bother with a high flow cat...

Instead get the company to make a decat pipe, it's a diesel so doesn't need or benefit from a cat.. Also remember that there are two ;)

Just beware of the shear amount of smoke a heavily mapped decatted diesel will produce.

There was a fella I knew with a Furby vRS with hybrid turbo, de-cat, bigger injectors, FMIC, custom intake etc etc and it absolutely plowed out smoke when using anything more than light throttle! It was running 260bhp and 480pbs ft torque at the end :slayer:
