I have a punto with the 1.3 multijet motor and i'm having a random issue with sometimes the idle revs start to oscillate when i stop or brake.
It happens random, and the duration is less than a1 minute. I can accelerate and start to go after green light and the car doesn't appear to lose much power.
After some time it stops the oscillating rev. But now for two times the revs get so low that the motor shut down.
All times i had this problem, engine was already at normal temperature. Never when the engine is cold.
No error in the ODBC. No light in the panel. Changed Oil, air and diesel filter. Alternator is stable at 13.8V. Already cleaned the MAF but didn't change for a new one. Checked for air leaks and didn't find any (not with smoke machine).
This time i filmed the problem because i was at a red light.
In the movie i accelerate when it gets green and stop at a second red light. The revs oscilate in both red lights. After the second red light turns green i accelerate and after a while the idle revs stops to oscillate.
Is very random and very sporadic. But now with the motor shutting down when the revs get too low i need to resolve this issue.
