Seems I have a 105JTD throttle problem too!
Started yesterday - the engine just runs away to 4500 rpm. In the end had to get recovery to bring the car back , whick 12 hours later seems OK. The auto electrician is due so more on that later ( Fiat dealer could not even loo at the car for 10 days and due off on holiday in 3). The RAC reckon a throttle sensor or ecu.
Other problems - 1. leaking sunroof (but only occasionally) 2. Humidity in Diesel filter - sensor eventually removed. 3. - leaking NSF headlight. 4. Oil level to high when it is not.

Rueblondel...what you doing her? Have you mentioned the Multi forum to others? I cant say I have seen you mention this forum to the the multi owners...tsk tsk..

Your probs...throttle potentiometer?

surley we should all be talking Multi together?

It appears to be a bigger forum than this but size is not all!
I just feel we all need to pull together!

Water in headlight - open the bonnet and you'll see, next to the adjuster knob, a tubular molding running horizontally rearwards. Cover this with insulationg tape and it should stop the water ingress, which is being kicked up by the wheel. Doesn't happen on the RHS wheel as the washer tank's in the way. Hope this helps. HAs anyone had any experience of the glowplug light flashing after engine start for a few seconds? Mine's just started doing it in the past couple of days - not sure whether it's ambient temp related (doubt it) or a hard fault, Any info appreciated. Fiats workshop manual available on CD -£10 per copy inc p&p. Drop me a mail for info.

Go to www.multiplaowners.co.uk and check out oddbods site! There is a fix for this in the faq's!

Check very carefully the three wires which come out of the Diesel Filter Sensor. Its looks like the screw cap on an (upside down) Aluminium drinks bottle (the diesel filter), located inboard & behind the Water bottles under the bonnet, (left hand side). The wires are resin bonded into the lid. When the filter is changed at a service, you need to unscrew the lid to drain the filter. If you do not disconnect the adjacent connector block & do not turn the wires assembly exactly with the un-screwing action of the lid, you will twist the wires which will short across each other at the point they enter into the resin of the lid. This happened on my car & sent the computer into Safe Mode with "Engine Managent Fault" & "Moisture Diesel Filter" warnings. A new sensor (£34) carefully re-assembled, solved the problem. I would guess this is very common if the person who does your service does not take the necessary care.

sounds same as me! Car wouldn't rev above 3K. "Moisture in diesel" message. - changed Filter sensor as wires had been twisted bare at service as cable not turned with sensor in attempt to replace filter at service. Air Mass Meter (cheap one at £60 of net - maybe a mistake!) also changed previously. high idle revs & reluctance to drop back to idle. Suspected Throttle Potentiometer but at £115 & absolute pig to access, the idea of dodgy TDC Sensor at £24 sounds more appealing. Part on order but I cannot find where its fitted.
