More OT Speed Camera Vandals

ok good one but it will onyl get replaced

either way they wont put up more speed cameras but instead more speed humps

there goes my suspension!!!

well round here they put a car tyre on the top and set it alight!!

That normally buggers them up good....

The 1 in Cowbit, Lincolnshire has now been removed since it had this treatment.. but every1 still drives at the 30MPH speed limit it was there to reinforce, so no need to be replaced!

Tommy K - Have you got the Bottle!!

ONE LOCAL OT ME IS CELVERLY IN THE WRONG PLACE ITS AT THE BEGINNING OF A ROAD MERGE MEANIGN 3 LANES into one
speed is no more then 20mph, and for the last year there has only been 1 reported incident and that was the police lol

what a stupi place to put it
but gladly a bit further on it splits into 3 again

therefore speed heaven

they keep sitting on the motorways around me with speed camera vans, its called the "safety van". What a load of rubbish, you have 3 lanes of traffic driving at 80, they see this and everyone stamps on the brakes to 60. The number of near misses i've had because i've been going at 70 in the van on the inside lane and people have seen them, slammed on the brakes to 60 and swerved right infront of you is just stupid!

Drivers arn't the bit concerned that you've had to swerve into the hard shoulder to miss the back of their car cutting infront of you, all they care about is the bloody speed van!

Drives me crazy!

cynic-al's right. The times people have "panic-braked" in front of me due to spotting a speed camera or police van set up is incredible.
I reckon they must be the cause of accidents rather than preventing them.
Anyway a recent Report revealed that speed alone was the main cause of only 6% of accidents! That's MPH not meth-amphetamine!

I'd love to know if they've studied the effects of "panic-braking" due to speed cameras. I guess they'd just say you shouldn't be speeding in the first place. However I was taught that you should always keep up with the flow of traffic, not cause obstruction etc. So if the flow is 80mph that's what you should do, or get out of the way. Granted this was many years ago!!

They may say you shouldnt have been speeding in the first place, but I think its a reaction if your speeding or not.

To be honest many a time I have been driving somewhere i'm not used to and not 100% sure of the speed limit so if I see a van I would brake.

They need more and biger signs stating the speed limits, if you miss the first sign you don't know what the speed limit is.

@Stuart - "However I was taught that you should always keep up with the flow of traffic, not cause obstruction etc. So if the flow is 80mph that's what you should do, or get out of the way. Granted this was many years ago!!"

No, still exactly the same - as you may have read, I passed my driving test only lastweek :) :) :) (still loving it btw) :) :) :) and my instructor was always going on about how important it is to keep up with the traffic flow! And may I add, I totally agree

I know Im probably gonna ger crucified for this but I dont get what the anti speed camera brigade are complaining about. Dont speed and you wont get fined, simple. Sorry in advance.*Runs and takes cover*

thats fair comment don't speed and you won't get caught. the biggest time peope get caught speeding is in unffamiliar areas. as someone said earlier bigger signs or more of them would help. but it has been recently proved that the hand held laser guns are inaccurate. they have been shown recording a wall moving at 5mph and a parked car at 15mph. they pick up on every movement the holder makes as well as any object around the vehical focused on. perhaps they should spend more money on inproving this stuff than putting up more cameras.

sorry for the long post
