odd problem that has me stumped..
monday night i was driving the car home and when i began to slow down to turn into my house the car dropped to idle speed, it would not accelarate at all.. Drove it into the garage like that and stopped the engine, tryed to start it again and no go.. everything comes on as usual, lights go off as usual EXCEPT the keycode light, oil light and battery light.. normally only the battery light would remain on (other then handbrake ) when i would start the engine..
checking around i found fuse F17 in the engine bay burned out, checked the handbook and fuse F17 is injector pump power.. replaced it with another same 7.5A and turned the key only to find the same fuse burned out.. replaced it with another spare 20A fuse and turned the key, this time the engine attempted to start with the identifiable immobilizer cutoff right after starting..
These few days the weather here has been very damp, is it possible the ECU is trashed? since the car was running when i shut it off i assume the injector pump is fine..
examiner cannot communicate with the ecu, it reports some timeout error..
i'm looking at viable alternatives as well like the injector pump from the TD100 but i think it still needs the ecu to run properly..
ideias anyone?
