Styling Mk1 Tail light tinting

I have searched through the threads but there isn't anything saying whether you spray the tint directly onto the light of take it apart and spray the inside? I am guessing you spray it directly onto the tail light cover? I have found some tinting spray ( savage ) on ebay, will a 400ml bottle surfice? A guide would be appreciated if anyone could provide it Cheers!

Their is a guid in the styling section if you have a look but its very easy, just take the lights off the car, mask them up where appropriate and apply the tint spray in thin even coats. The more tint you apply the darker they will be and if you fancy giving them a glossy finish add some clear coat.
