Technical mk1 springs on mk2??

hey,

can anyone tell me if mk1 springs will fit on mk2 shocks? and if the rears are the same too? i have no experience of mk1's

I wouldn't have thought so, the top-mount geometry at the front is different, and the rear uses a completely different suspension geometry (mk1 is fully independent, albeit a bit crude, mk2 is semi-independent)

do mk2 sporting shocks (after market but to fit mk2 sporting) fit on an 8v mk2? i have got an offer of some and i just want to make sure they will go on...
