Technical Mk1 Sporting engine tappety ?

Hey peeps,

There is a slight tappety noise at low rev range. Once it goes by that rev range the noise is gone.

What is the best way to cure this without removing the engine>?

Currently i got some engine flush in the engine, going to drive it for a short while vefore fresh oil goes in!

what your are doing sounds right (if its forte flush) leave flush in for a week or 2 then fill with 5w 40 fully synth

Am using the stuff Halfords sell. I'll drive the cae for 2 weeks then!

Man 5/40 fully syth sounds expensive. I'll try it tho!

can get trade 5w 40 for about £25 from factors

i have no idea if the halfords flush will work, its probably just paraffin

I'll try it for now. If not i'll use the forte stuff in the next oil change!
