General Mk1 Selecta tyres

My Mk1 60 Selecta punto needs new front tyres, one is losing pressure very alarmingly and needs replacing, so will do both fronts at the same time.

Local tyre place has either Pirelli or Goodyear on offer at £40 a tyre fitted ...what brand would you go for or are they pretty much of a muchness? Not 100% sure on model, but I think they will be Goodyear GT2 and Pirelli P3000

i never been a fan on pirellis hates my p6000's that were on my punto. soo i would be choosing the goodyears

GT2's on a base level punto will serve you fine, and in the wet they are probably the best, short of going mad and spending more like £100 per corner.


Try going to HIq, they fit the GT2's (165x13x70) for £34,?? per corner.

How much are the tyres your gettin? Ive always found mytyres to be the cheapest fast delivery to.

I've ended up going for 4 x Toyo 330s; £40 each fitted from Black circles...being done Saturday morning

Probably could have got them a little cheaper but didn't want the hassle of getting tyres delivered and then sorting the fitting separately
