Lets say T reg punto.

how many miles would i get out of a litre ?

cheers

A T reg punto... how many miles out of a litre..hmmm.. a million?

there are so many things wrong with this thread it makes me sad.

1. what size engine?
2. litres of WHAT, oil or petrol
3. WHY litres? surely mpg is a better measure of economy?

go and contemplate your fail.

litres of petrol.

i find it easier petrol as oposed to mpg , my maths is ****.

please help me !

ta !:yum:

i have absolutely no clue which engine the OP is on about but for the sake of it my 1.2 8v will manage ~40mpg on a motorway run.

We get 40 mpg (which is about 9 miles/litre Matt) on normal driving on narrow twisty Cornish roads (forever braking and changing down).
On a long motorway trip 50 mpg (11 miles/litre) is more like it.
This in an "S" reg 1.2 8v with 50,000 on the clock

i jus drove from carlisle to hull in my 1.2 mk2b - got 55mpg going down there, when i was taking it easy - 65mph, and putting it in neutral on the down hill sections. that was with full tank, 16st of me, and a boot full of stuff.

the deal went well, so i felt as if i could afford a little extra petrol coming back - 80 to 85ish most of the way = 40mpg. that was with less than half tank of petrol to carry, and less stuff in the boot. i missed breakfast also. if you take it too much above 90 it does kinda feel unsafe. what are others getting in their cars?
