Mk1 Punto engine help/tips greatly appreciated

Hi all,

I am about to start a engine transplant on my 1.2 mk1 Punto, I have bought a complete 1.4 Gt and was just wondering if anyone could help with any tips or if anyone has already done this who would be able to advise me when I hit any problems.

The engine has already been taken out the Gt and I have fitted a new clutch, head gasket, cam belt and all auxiliary belts.

The next job on th list is to take the wiring loom out, I am planning onntaking out the entire loom, is this the best thing to do or is there a easier way to do it ie just splicing the engine/dashboard segment into my existing loom ?

Again all comments advice welcome as I am a newbie to this sort of thing.

You'd probably be better off posting this in the Punto section.

I think you'll need most of the engine loom (and the ECU, of course).
