Styling MK1 dials

Ive got a couple of sets of dials to practise with, but im trying to change the colour they light up, because i'm no fan on the green!

I dont want to go out and get plasma glow ones, as most people do that, and i like to be different lol.

I would like to go for a blue/white back light, but i don't know how to remove the green filter from the speedo backing, without destroying it?

I looked into changing the whole dial faces, but there only seems to be on offer green which i got, or orange (the white lockwood dials).

anyone done it before?

Bright blue LEDs sometimes aren't effected by the green filter I have don't this on fords before but not sure how strong the green is on fiats

yeah i thought about that, wernt too sure though, but i did the same with a mk4 fiesta haha. suppose for a few quid off ebay i should just stop quibbling, and get on with it lol.
