today in a car park (town centre- southend) i saw a punto mk1 3 door selecta? it had the punto selecta badge on the back, and an auto box inside too, i swear they never made a 3 door one!?
I saw a weird one in the scrappy the other day, it was a 1998 R plate, 60S with a 1.1, had on the ecu, 1.1 SPI 60, which if I am not mistaken is what was on my ecu before I changed it, only it was 1.2 SPI 60, now it says 1.2 MPI 75.
Seen lecky windows on a number of S models too, possibly aftermarket fitted, but still there were 4 or 5 of them about.
Your find some S's with padded headrests, and possibly other upper model features (sunroof? C/L?). There was an upgrade in 1997 in which all models underwent updates (SX: body coloured bumpers, etc.) and the Team was launched.
No standard leccy windows or central locking on 'S'; not even the last ones. I know central locking kit's could be fitted, likewise I'm sure some adventurous soul has done an electric window kit.
As for the Selecta, it must have been an import as the RHD 60 Selecta (based on the SX spec) was never brought to the UK. Likely to be either from Japan (I assume they had the Punto) or more likely Cyprus or the Middle East. Likewise the Cabrio Selecta
Curious about the markings on the ECU about a 1.1 60SPi. 1.1 was only 55bhp, never increased from this. I would assume it was a printing error or something similar
