Has anyone noticed mistiness in all windows every morning?A friend told me that the car is taking air from somewhere or if you enter in the car with wet shoes the water that dries from the mats causes the mist. After a few days i noticed that when i put the key in the mar position i can hear the entrance gates of the dual zone climate closing.I did a few tests of closing/opening the climate before i start the engine and i have the same results.I went the car back to the dealer and they reset the whole unit back to its defaults but the problem didnt resolve. Now they dont know what to do.Anyone has or had the same problem?

Sound like either your go out late at night in your car and then yes it will steam up, but you probaly have a water leak in your car somewhere. P.S. If you have air con make sure the drain tube has not fell off, and is draining away outside not inside the car under your carpets

You tried leaving all you air vents closed at night?

Have a look at your pollen filter, if this has got damp somehow then your climate control will always be pulling damp air into the car.

Thats what im sayin rriggs when i put the key in the mar position i can hear all the air vents closing even if it was closed before i stop the car.Roger do me a favour man when you close the air vents you can hear a characteristic mechanic sound coming from the front of the dashboard close all your air vents stop the car and before you start it again when the car is in the diagnostic mode try to hear if the closing air vent sound comes again.

FiatExpert could it be possible to block something the air vents from closing?
Alic have you got the Stilo workshop cd to show us any pictures to see in what order the things are?
First is what the drain tube?Second the air vents?third the pollen filter? Then what?

The air vents are controlled eletrically and some say open and some close but not all. If they was a fault with the flat the dashboard wuld tell you. The pollen filter is located on the drivers side of the heater box near the steering column, not a nice place, all aircon systems have a brain tube just like you frigde at home, it allows excess water of aircon radaitor to drain to the outsid e of the car. Also 3 doors are prone to boot leaks, check under spare wheel

I dont know why but that was a nice answer are you really a Fiat Expert or its just a nick?
Well i noticed now that its not trying to close the air vents only at the mar position but also when i start the engine and during i drive if it was some settings wouldnt be fixed after the dealer reset the unit? This makes me think that its a mechanic problem.I didnt see anything about the climate in the manual that would notify me if theres a fault

The windows in my Stilo are permanently misty now that winter is upon us, I just put it down to the damp British climate, just drive around with your windows slightly open and your heater blasting away, seems to clear mine.

Yes it clears but thats not suppose to happen if you have all yous windows closed. The other cars in the parking are not misty at all.

You know, I know that, but I had a Brava before the Stilo and it was exactly the same, I checked for leaks from above and leaks from below, airways, etc, etc, nothing, I've checked the Stilo and everything looks fine, so where does the water that sits on the inside of the windows come from? Who knows? The Great Fiat Mystery. But as I said before, open your windows and blast out some heat, it beats trying to work it out!

It's like asking, Do Aliens Exist? We'll never know!

Just about every car I've owned has suffered from misting of the windows at this time of year - the Stilo is no exception.

9 times out of 10 it's just the windscreen (unless it's raining and then everything steams up when you have warm wet people in the car) so normally just whack the aircon on and it's clear by the I get to the end of our cul-de-sac.

I dont know man its really sad to see a mirafiori a punto with dry windows and my one year stilo with steam up windows and the worse is i might get crazy if i know that my car has a problem and i cant fix it[}:)]
Theres must be a solution even if i have to leave my car for a month in the dealer but unfortunately the dealer doesnt seems to care so much unless it has to do with money[}:)][}:)]

Another thought for all you "misted up" guys. Double check that you don't have the vents set to recirculate.
