I know someone with a mint waxoyled MK1 3 door Uno shell which is registered as a diesel, does anyone have any idea how much it is worth?

What about 5 door black mk1 shell, is this worth alot less I guess? Does anyone have any idea on price, a wild guess woul do :)

Your only hope is that someone wants a show car condition motor so your market is very small if at all.

I've been keeping an eye on ebay for various Uno bits and generally.

For a good condition Mk1 with long MOT, 3 door average £150-£200, £250-£350 absolute max for the very very best mint examples.

For a mint Mk1, 5 door probably not alot really, £50 - £100.

diesel in a small car like this is not very desirable.

Hi Pietch,
Welcome to the forum.

I thought that Chas had the best answer! Dave was right too but possibly a bit harsh (he made it sound as though it would be unlikely to have much demand, where in fact Mk1 3-dr bodyshells have solid demand as far as I can tell).

Just have a look at Dunc's Uno Turbo Restoration Thread (under Let's Talk FIAT) for proof that a 'donor' shell is very useful (and not just for making a show car, more a case of economic rust repairs for any rusty Uno Turbo).

Then perhaps do some eBay searches in Completed Listings (Advanced Search) - you have to be registered as an eBay member to do this.

Pottleflump, Ha, those prices are so low by our standards in NZ... :)

'Tidy' but not very original (and certainly not mint) Mk1 5-door, I sold last year for equivalent of 450 pounds.

Rather tatty and not-original-at-all Mk1 3-door, a friend sold for equivalent of 260 pounds.

Mk1 Uno Turbos here in NZ seem to be hitting 1100 pounds-equivalent in private auctions, which is pleasing. I saw a Mk2 sell for the equivalent of 1400 pounds at auction. There's a nasty-looking Mk1 for sale here at the moment, de-registered (which means a $500 cost to get back on the road, if it can pass the tougher inspection) and even that has passed $500 (185 pounds) on parts value alone.

What makes this price difference even more interesting is that our wages/salaries tend to be about half those in the UK...

Thanks for the warm welcome and advice, much appreciated!

The guy I know wants to keep one of the car as he loves UNO's and swears that the black ones rust less then the others, why I do not know?

Anyway it looks like he will see the black MK1 3 DOOR shell as it is worth more to the UNO turbo boys than the MK1 5 DOOR shell.

From the above and my eBay research I estimate that a mint black MK1 3 door shell (diesel engined) without MOT or TAX would be worth £350-£400, would you agree?

The black MK1 5 door with MOT about £250-300?

Are the above prices a good guess for the UK?

Thanks

ps. What are individual MK1 doors worth?
