52 Plate 115ELX with all the bells and whistles - dark blue with a very rude word scratched into the tailgate - 94,000 miles but two years spent in storage by previous owner with broken cam belt and six bent valves - now repaired by me and back on the road. Great car.

Let's have a pic of the offending article!

I am sorry but the word is far too rude. The late owner of the car [in all senses sadly] was a school teacher and his widow said that she thought a pupil scratched the word in the tailgate whilst it was parked at school. The lettering is only two centimetres high and is spelt correctly and has four letters ending with a "T". Obviously, it was a good school.
I left it parked in Winchester [posh/Guardian readers] and someone left a note on the car saying how disgusted they were to see the word and presumed I must be a "punk" and should know better as it was an extremely offensive word. The actually went to the trouble of putting some insulation tape over it. But someone else had peeled it off to see what it covered and it was laying on the top of the bumper.
It all happens in Hampshire

04 115 JTD ELX. 147,000 miles. I too would like to see mine to 200k miles. I had a Citroen BX diesel estate that I got to 193,000 I traded it in on a guaranteed value offer, but always regretted not clocking the 200k.

Yeah, I would love to get mine to 200k but I'm scarred of how much it will cost to get that far… There will come a point where I will have to replace stuff I've already replaced!!!! It's just cost me £185 for the fuel lines, shot blast and paint anti roll bar and brackets, new anti roll bolts…. Plus £23.50 for car hire and extra fuel £45/£50… Even thought the Multi had 3/4 of a tank that could not b be used as it was pissing out over the sub frame! Strut top mounts and bearings last month….Im buying a Honda next time…. Mrs D wants a Skoda Yeti...

2000 JTD 105 ELX Have owned it from new, and now have 33,000 miles on it. First 7 years took the kids to school & back everyday. Now I only use it to go to the local shops and go to check on my granny every other day. I am disabled and can't drive long distances. I get the son to drive it up the motor way every month, as i never get the chance to go over 30 MPH. I change the oil every 6 months as I am not even getting the car up to temperature. The oil comes out the same color it went in. Haven't really had to do too much other than the normal maintenance. Have had 2 cambelt changes 5 and 10 year, changed all the brake discs and drums. 2 aux belts and belt tensioner, water pump and crankshaft pulley. new set of handbrake cables and that's it. No doubt over the next few years the rust will set in.
