right i have meta alarm, dont know model but it has a round remote with 1 button.

iv looked on google, and found a website that says-

To program a new remote into any of the HPA and single button Meta alarms a 8 digit numerical code or 16 digit hexadecimal (numbers mixed with letters, A to F) code is required. This is supplied on the plastic code card supplied with the unit. Without this code it will not be possible to program a new remote into the system. The 8 digit code signifies the older fixed coded Meta alarm systems while the 16 digit coded remotes are the up to date encrypted remotes. All Meta alarm systems are supplied with a red code card with the remote security number printed on it. Without this code number it will not be possible to program a new remote into your Meta alarm

so... how can i do it  this 1 remote, the button is wearing out and it doesnt 'click' how it should, its kinda sticky (n) dont think its going to last much longer, so want to sort it!

they will more than likely just take the chip out of the buggered remote and put it into a new one if you ask them to. new remote with no programming required.
