I'd doesn't work with many phones.
Older Nokia pre touch screen stuff is ok, and newer windows 7 and 8 phones work.
Samsung galaxy, iPhone and the like you're out of luck.
I actually bought a Nokia 620 windows phone 8 handset and ditched my iPhone to get the reader working, and whilst that was great the rest was really poor. Music integration via plug in USB port only worked 1 time in 10. The other times the car said 'no device connected' and I like to listen to podcasts.
Again very poor. They would play out of the handset speaker whilst music played through the car speakers.
I went back to my flawless working apple phone in those respects and have forgone the message reader.
It's no big deal anyway, the reader when it finishes a message asks 'shall I delete, read again or reply to message' it never gets it right when you reply and you end up swearing at it!
