General mega rust :(

i have a huge patch of rust on the off side rear wheel arch.. its a huge hole engulfing the hole of the inside of the arch... what can i dooo . its passed mot and all.. any ideas for a fix with out sellin it ... i dont wonta lose it as it means alot to me??????

go to a scrappy wit ha hacksaw and chop a section out of a good un there are plenty of 899s out there with duff g/boxes

il will put some up in the morning but its bad... so what should i do just cut out the hole of the wheel arch.. its not visible ??

MY passenger inner arches are rusted so needs cut back and recreated from material. got quoted around £150.

Welders are usually around the £50 per hour mark. They would prob take a couple of hours to do. Not sure in your area but around here there are people on www.gumtree.com that will do MOT work inc welding for very cheap. They even come to you. Might be worth a look.

yeah thats where mine are , right above the wheel ... but is 3/4's of the arch

it aint that bad, plating should do fine, id also get that rust on the arch sorted aswell

I'd check hard for rust elsewhere -- it'd be silly plating that: I think Fluffy the Impaler (use the search) still has replacement arches.

aye they did... and in poland you can even get a plastic inner arcch ontop of that. wonder if you can get them mailed to the uk......

I've had plenty bits for the 126 sent over from Poland. Just need to find the right supplier. Can't help there though. Ones I use were 126 specific.
