General mckritch chip issues

hi. ive just just tryed to start my cinq after puting a mcrich chip on. when i put the egnition on there is a tiking noise from this white box. it wasnt there before.

im using the red key and the car is geting petrol and the spark plugs are only 2 weeks old. it tryes to start but it just dont want to go. does anyone know wat that whit box is i thourght it was the ararm. help plz.

have a look through the instructions you got with the chip

i have mate done everythink it tells you to. ive refited the ecu making sure the pins are ok and clean. made sure the map sensor is on and put the earth back on. then all it says is re-conect the battery and start it. then it says it will take a cuople turns to start. iv tryed 4 a couple of hours.

The white box is the fuel relay.

just had another go and it stil wont start.:bang:
i phoned my dad and he sed 2 check 4 spark by puuling the ht lead of and putting a old one on the end. that didnt work.:bang:
then i tryed puting more petrol in. that didnt work.:bang:
but still dont know y the fuel relay is cliking.
someone help plz.

should i get another relay and try it.?

Have you tried putting the original ECU chip back in? This would eliminate everything else and point the problem to the Mcrich chip

no its been solderd by an expert.

Or just check the chip it in the right orentation

you say the relay is clicking,,,,well it is controlled (im assuming) by the ECU so either the relay is faulty or the ECU is at fault maybe caused by the chip??
part of the map on the chip could possibly be at fault.
get in touch with the bloke who has done the chip for you.

A perfect reason to never solder them to the board, a DIP socket is <£1 and means you can swap back and forth as you please.

Sounds like the chip or soldering is at fault imho, if all you did was plug the new ecu in.
