Hi all,new here from sunny Pembrokeshire, had a Bravo (HLX) years ago and loved it now...looking at getting a Bravo 20v HGT...ive had two 20v turbo fiat coupes over the past few years so am WELL aware of all the fiat issues etc etc,all I was wondering was if anyone knew or had come across a Bravo HGT (X759 GPO) its a broomie :) And I just wondered on the owners thoughts of these cars,I know its not quite the poke and power of the coupe, but I hear a lot about these cars on the coupe forum as im led to believe they share the 20V VIS engine that some of the non turbo coupes have....this correct??? So there we go,look forward to hearing from you all!

Hi chap, i guess it's a later HGT if it's got the VIS system? I got a 155 but have also owned the 147 (non-vis). The 155 is more refined and a better normal engine than the 147, but the 147 was a hell of a lot more eager and fun to drive, had mine chipped and it pulled your arms off! As for issues you obviously know about the cambelts, coolant pipes etc so yeah, best of luck dude :)

with it being an X reg it will be the 155 as they made the mk2's from T onwards. The coupe shares the same engine system as the mk1 hgt 147 model.Your right in thinking they share the same engine the 20v 5 pot but not the full system. The mk1 147 is throttle cable controlled whereas the mk2 155 is fly-by wire ;)
The coupe engine (and mk1 hgt) has metal rocker cover, the mk2 hgt has a plastic cover ;)

A Fiat Marea in a Bravo Shell..Its good to be different ;)
Now with working Steering Wheel Controls :)
160bhp :)

They did coupes with both the 147 and 155 mike, seen a few advertised!

did they? i never knew that.I always thought they made them 147 and obviously the 20vt.ah well, ive learn something new :)

Most likely FIAT supplied the last of the N/A Coupes with the same Euro.3 '150' engine as the 2001 MY onwards Marea.
Makes sense that they would fit whatever was the latest, (current at the time) spec. of 20v engine...

I spoke to this seller at length recently when I was sizing up the market in order to set a price for the sale of my owm. That car's a huge bill waiting to happen, but the seller doesn't realise it. As far as I could ascertain, it's had no cambelt change, and no brake fluid or coolant change for 8 years, air con compressor not working, laquer peeling on bumpers...

He doesn't know HGTs and does not realise that all of these things spell BIG bills that wil need doing the second you buy it. Better ot buy one that's had it all done and with perfect a/c. Like mine.
