Technical Maximum tolerance for head skimming

Hi all,

Wondering what the is the maximum amount of material you can take off the head when skimming? I can't see any marks on the head to show the limit - if there are, could you please point me in the right direction?

I dont know but i skimmed head about 0.64 mm punto 8v HG

There is a circular registration mark in the face of the head which is situated on the face opposite the exhaust valve of N01 cylinder i.e. crankshaft sprocket end. It represents the max to which the thickness of the casting may be reduced. When an experienced engineer skims the head he will remove the minimum necessary to achieve the true and will test using an engineers straight edge.
