Glad you went with this Martin, it's good stuff isn't it (y).

Cheers for the tip off on this Vernon! It is great stuff, really good coverage. Autoglym products are excellent.

I liked the grey primer colour and thought that would look cool with the white of the car:D...however, it's originality that wins with me (as you know!).

Did you like my playing card trick?!!!

I have to HAND it to you, you certainly came up TRUMPS with that idea, I thought it was ACE, but I don't think I'd have the HEART to ruin a pack myself. :p

Sorry, couldn't stop myself .

I can't seem to find a paint code on my car, does anyone have any idea what colour the 1984 white would be?

Vernon / Si, I think your cars are the same colour?

Sorry Martin, can't find one on mine either, unless it's behind the tailgate trim panel, I'll have a look on Monday.
I did get the code from the 750L though which looks to be very similar, it's a Mk2 but 1986, so could be the same. code was 224.

Progress, progress, progress...spent most of the last couple of days on the car and my Dad came over and gave me a hand today so that was cool too!(y)

Bit of a mixed day but lots done...points checked as were plugs. Got the little pushrod unit running really well, that was until the weld on the bottom of the radiator gave out and completely emptied it's contents over the driveway:bang:

The brakes are not too bad at all, got a great handbrake but a sticky piston on the rear driver's side...need new shoes but front discs and pads are as new so they are good to go.(y)

Also fitted a new alternator so now have more shiney bits under the bonnet.

However, now need a radiator - anyone got a cheap spare? :D In honesty, I had a good look at it a few weeks ago and kind of knew it was on borrowed time.

Enjoy the piccies

I was hoping to have a sneaky little 'test' drive...but that will have to wait until I have sorted the cooling system and my sticky rear brakes.
