Popped down the Autospares shop today and got a set of QH rear shoes for £13.28 inc VAT. Just how good was that?:thumb

Another bargain for the mark 1:D

...just wish the weather was better so I could fit them...it's so wet here, I'm thinking of building a wooden boat and filling it with animals

I have painted the grey underseal bits today and it looks fab! Wheel arches to be painted next! Well happy!!!:)

Sorting the rad and rear brake shoes tomorrow, updates to follow.

What kind of tips you need?
I can help you with step by step tips if you need something like that(y)(y)
Your job looks very nice and tidy, only that dent below filling cap is that i dont like.

I'd benefit from a step by step guide as I think the 750L will need some bits spraying :)

You able to do a guide?

First i need to know what do you want, just respray, any dents on the surface, rust on it or not, any body work done etc....
There is step by step pictures how to do it in my thread.
I can explain how i do it and what i use and in which order.
Feel free to ask and if i know i ll answer it.(y)

My practice is mainly on bikes and newer cars.
Not many cutting experience in old and rusty cars, but what i know is from my friend that make boats and i use same stuff as he is.
First you must clean surface-grinder with steel brush, some anti rust stuff, then 2 component base paint(epoxy paint) and then you go with other stuff for painting.
The best way to clean big surfaces or whole shell is to sand blast it and paint in epoxy primer.

You need to remove as much rust as possible, attack any surface rust with a wire wheel and if any rust has gone through cut it all out and weld in fresh metal, if you just fill over it it will come back very quickly.

I would get a professional to do the final finishing, I work in a garage/bodyshop so I know how tricky and time comsuming it can be, plus using rattle cans you will never get a finish that will last and look as good, especially on large areas.

No driver's side front indicator or hazards...not connections at the front end...could be fuses as I found a live under the bonnet the other day which touched the engine and caused some serious smoking from the fuse box. The fuses all look ok but they are the old type and may be blown despite intact appearance...could also be an earth?

The mystery continues....

Having a good day today...the Sei passed it's MOT just needing a tyre, I'm hoping that luck gets passed over to the Panda when it's time comes around.

The car now starts very well...I took it out on a test drive today (which I know is naughty) but the car drove very well - the brakes worked ok-ish but I still have new pads to fit so that should improve things there.

The speedo works and the car handled very well...Panda driving came back to me in a flash! :)
