Introduction

well about time i posted in here got it over 2 weeks ago its now lowered 40-40,14" oz racing wheels, 866 cam, new water pump, new gasket set, 81600miles on a 97 R reg and i am part way though planning a low blow supercharger upgrade aiming for around 110bhp

mario theres really only one way to run blower drive... off the fly wheel u cant take it off the cam as the cam is driven off the timing pulley... think about it...

im thinking of charging a punto sporting engine (1242 16v)...

well i have found a company that will strenghen the crank and sproket to take the extra strain but i need to get my hands on a spare crank and sproket to send it up to be modified but moving has taken up my time and well fitting the 1242 lol but hopefully should be getting back on track with this in the next few weeks

and jamie, hasn't it come on leaps and bounds lol i had forgot how sad he looked that day lol RIP little henry you were a good escort to the services that day lol

ok quick update

back from me jollies and i am going to throw myself back into sorting out the dreaded little cinq and get hime running and handling right

to do list

fix misfire
fit upper and lower front braces
tidy up my man made hole in the bonnet

will do a progress report tomorrow night after i have had a day on it lol

ok been out fiddling with the car today and the misfire was down to a failed injector on number 2, so swapped it out for a 1 i know is good and all is well with the world again lol

also fitted me upper brace and what a snug fit it is lol, custom airbox and inlet mani i think are on the cards now

had a look at fitting the lower brace and.............well.................i'd be insane to fit it, i would be left with around 2inch of ground clearence and sorry thats not enough lol but i will keep it and fit it for track days i think lol

ok its official i am insane lol
fitted the lower brace and i cant even get a 500ml energy drink bottle under the brace lol ooooopps

got full 2 inch exhaust fitted but its abit loud lol

ok just a quicky to say that when i get back from the docs later i will be pulling the gear linkage apart to modify it so its higher, leaning more towards the driver and also going to make it short shift too
 
ok got an update

sump sealed and fixed, also cut the rear bumper and moved exhaust up higher so looks neater

also fitted a shift light to stop me hitting the rev limiter in first and second on take off and tomorrow will be spent doing the gear leaver (i know that was planned for today but i thought fixing oil leak more important) and also fitting my oil cooler now that i have the pipes

ot really but its a fun thing to have and only cost a tenner lol

i am going to fit a big dash mounted rev counter at some point with a built in shift light so this one will get retuned to come in at 3.5k for when i am eco runs lol but we shall see, its more novilty than practical lol
 
ok was out playing in the car again and the gear leaver is now modified lol

1st to 2nd is about a 3inch throw and the whole bussiness of selecting a gear is alot tighter

will post pics later of what it all looks like finished
 
ok i had a little bit of spare cash and i was going to spend it on getting some nice 15's but i got side tracked by a shiney object and i couldn't resist

so what i have bought is a turbo kit whick includes

turbo with mani (ford zetec so will get modified to fit the fire engine)
fse fuel reg
bailey DV
boost piping
boost gauge
and some vacum hose
oh and the oil feed pipes for the turbo

what time is it?????? TURBO TIME!!!!!!!

now comes the hard part of locating a mf2 or aftermarket ecu cheap
intercooler
16v pistons and rods
i will mod the inlet to take an extra row of injectors (which i already have)
an 899cc air box thing for top of TB
a decent cone filter
oh and bigger brakes too

can anyone advise me on anything i am over looking please
 
Only just seen this thread. I have an 899 cap I was saving to use at some point, TBH you'd probably be better off having a better one made up if you're going forced and not just fitting a better filter.

What size Ford engine is that kit meant for? Is it low boost for a 1.8/2.0 so high boost here? :p

lol they didn't nick it lol i was in a funny mood that day and i like to d**k about when i'm in thous moods lol

it was actually a high boost set up for a 1.3 KA i believe (certainly a KA) although the turbo its self looks like its of maybe a 1.8td mondeo but not totally sure, only looking for low boost to start with and then once the teething probs are sorted i will be throwing a bigger turbo at it and running high boost set up (once i have MS or similar)

i am already having some very interestin ideas on what i am going to do and as far as i have founf my main two no-one seems to have done yet
