Cinquecento mariocinq's sporting.

Introduction

well about time i posted in here got it over 2 weeks ago its now lowered 40-40,14" oz racing wheels, 866 cam, new water pump, new gasket set, 81600miles on a 97 R reg and i am part way though planning a low blow supercharger upgrade aiming for around 110bhp
Re: mariocinq's sporting

well its that's a quick and easy way to securely fit the pulley onto the crank-without it shearing the key off

Ash

yeah but its a perminent fix i want some that should i need to, i can remove the crank pully as you can in stock setup

i am going to strip it down and take it to my friendly machine shop see what my options are

What you gonna do when you need to change the timing belt :p?

Could you not drill 3 holes in the crank sprocket, tap some thread on it and put another 3 bolt on it ?

Or just get a new crank made up with some stronger stuff.

these are the types of things i will be looking into once i have the crank and the pully out of the engine

modify the the oil pump cover to remove the part that covers the belt and make up a small cover to be bolted on

Re: mariocinq's sporting

the problem lies with the sproket that runs the timing not the alt pully

so what i need to do is come up with a better way for connecting the timing sproket to the crank

either drill and butt weld as a bodge OR

gt the crank and sprocket off drill either 2/3 holes into the mating faces of the two items about 1cm deep on both and have a dowel inserted that should be adequate for the force on it

Re: mariocinq's sporting

Think out of the box

Take the drive from the other end of the engine

what drive it off the flywheel hmmmm interesting

maybe use a starter cog mounted to a belt pully being driven by the flywheel

i was thinking originally thinking of mounting a pully to the cam and driving the supercharger that way

bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep
:bang::bang::bang::bang::bang:
:cry::cry::cry::cry:

i was a little bored today so thought i would go out and have a look at how hard it will be to fit the p75 fuel pump and once i had it in bits i thought well i have come this far might as well fit it

so got it fitted all back together and turned the key...................................... and it fired up once fuel was through, great i thought to myself then ooops..................why is my fuel gauge on empty, i know there is 1/4 of a tank so went back for a second look to find that one of the 3 pins on the float thing plug has snapped off

oh well thats another new part needed

Re: mariocinq's sporting

well after the hell of the fuel gauge i needed a good thing to happen with the car so i went back out to see what i could do and i got happy with the craft knife and a tin of paint hehe let me know what ya think

Re: mariocinq's sporting

hmmmmmmm been thinking my front left wing is silver and i am thinking that trying to match the yellow is going to be a royal pain so i am toying with the idea of leaving it silver and doing the the black arch crease thing and then getting lots of random stickers and covering the wing so i dont have to match it yellow or will it just look too stupid

Re: mariocinq's sporting

or do the black paint bit and leave it silver i dont know because the other thing is i will need to match the 2 little black strips along the car as well

Re: mariocinq's sporting

id have to be honest with this i dont like the front bumper at all if it was a black car then yea it would be fine but the unpainted plastic ones look kick ass

grey all the way

Re: mariocinq's sporting

its not an unpainted bumper i have painted it in gloss black and yeah it does look abit dit at the mo but fingures crossed it will look better once the sides are done

Re: mariocinq's sporting

Looks good! good finish too! (y)

My bumpers are Matt Black, but i dont thinkt hat owuld have looked right as your bumper insnt textured. So good choice!

Paint the bonnet & wing yellow! :D - or locate a yellow one :p

Re: mariocinq's sporting

been thinking about the wing but still not really sure but the bonnet i have a very nice plan for but that is getting done profesionally

i'm not totally happy with the finish on the front bumper but it will do for the mo as it was just a quick job to improve the looks as it was starting to get me down a little
