General marea 1.9 jtd

I have just started to have problems with my marea weekend jtd 105.
Back in Sept the car refused to start.The engine was turning but would not start.The local garage (Smallbrook Motors)fixed the problem.
This lasted 3 days then it refused to start.After 20 mins the engine
started.I returned the car back to the garage and they fixed it.Although no fault was showing up on the diagnostic computer they got the car going.
5 weeks ago the same thing happened the car refused to start but after 10 mins it started.
It as happened again 28th Dec but this time won't start the AA have looked at it and we have towed the car back to the garage.
THE ENGINE TURNS BUT THERE IS NO POWER TO THE FUEL PUMP OR INJECTORS.
WE HAVE CHECK THE RELAYS AND FUSES.

As anyone had this kind of problem ?.

When you turn the car over does the engine management syste light go out? Its the red one that lloks like a fuel pump! This light should go out a few seconds after you turn to position 2, if not it looks like you could have an intermittent fault on the ECU.

You were right I have had to replace 2 ECU units.

A work colleague seems to be getting the same problem I had in the early stages.

Have Fiat got a problem with ECU units?

Wayhay Nige gets a diag right

Its not normal to get ECU faults on any of the Bravo/a or Marea. What year is it as it may be one of the early ones. Obviously we work on these eCU's all the time and have not had any with any problems. Keep me informed though please - oh and id I mention I could get 155+ BHP out of your engine with an ECU remap....
