Tuning Magnetti Marelli centre exhaust

Hi guys!

Currently waiting to have a Magnetti Marelli centre exhaust pipe fitted

I remember reading a thread where someone fitted the same centre section, then had some pipe welded onto the end and finished off with an exhaust tip from a Land Rover Disco (I think???).

He said the noise it made was pretty good.

I have searched and searched and can’t find it.

All I want to find out is has he put it through the MOT yet, and if so, how did it get on regarding noise levels.

It'll pass an MOT with the MM centre section and a rear silencer box and it sounds nice without being OTT, whether it'll pass with a straight through no silencer exhaust is a different matter.... i'd say probably not.

Yep, that’s pretty much what I thought.

The only problem is that I don’t want it to sound like something it isn’t (farty, bassy, boy racer etc.).

I think a small, sporty car should sound fizzy, zingy, poppy etc. ~ know what I mean?
