M6 toll halted by terrorists ..

Where are Muslim terrorists mentioned?

That article doesn't.

My mate has been directed off the motorway now in a lane very close to where the passengers were being held. He could see several asian looking people being made to sit on the floor in a square surrounded by police.

That's why I said it would "appear" they were to blame.

You can see what he was talking about better in this article.

Avoid the M6 and the M6 toll, big delays ..

Someone poured some liquid into a box, and it then started smoking.

Was it poured from a flask, into a funny cylindrical box with a funny handle sticking out before having some odd white crystalline granular powder sprinkled in and then top off with some curious looking opaque liquid.

A direct quote from that link

Passengers from the Megabus coach were seen sat on the road on a cordoned off area while police sniffer dogs examined the vehicle.

Police were also seen to search the 48 passengers one by one but after several hours said they were not treating the incident as terror-related.

So, all the passengers on the bus were in a cordoned off area. Not knowing the British bus system, I assume that Megabus are a travel coach company? Something that tourists of all kinds would use on a tour of some sort? And I am also going to assume that Britain makes an amount of its tourist dollar/pound from "Asian looking" tourists....

And then the article states that police aren't treating it as a terrorist incident.

This is nothing but racial stereotyping and further pushing divides within our country. Disappointing.

Tea anyone?

To be fair I see Shadeys point regarding a reported incident and I dislike the lack of clear information from the Secret Servants (otherwise known as Plod)

Recently I have started accidentally receiving text messages from a Muslim Sect based in London... praising Allah etc etc & saying they have a meeting at such and such a place and time down the Old Smoke... after I text back asking who was sending these I was told he was a Muslim Brother and Praise be to Allah.

Probably innocent but I still called the County Police and had a call from the people who vet this stuff on a daily basis.
I dont regret making that call... what the Police / Anti terrorist squads do is not my concern, I consider I have done my duty...

We all need to be vigilant and not complacent... certainly we shouldnt take a pop at anyone doing what is the right thing as the people on the coach did...

We all feel we know the enemy in our midst... they only have to get lucky once...

This country has been on a high terror alert for quite some time now. Its not because of the IRA, christians, buddists etc.

Its because of muslim terrorists. I think you'll find its they who are pushing the racial divide.

My mate is now stuck on in Brownhills, traffic there is horrendous as a result of this.

In regards to the "Muslim Terrorists" Statement.

Im going to defend Shadey here..

On the Radio i heard the BBC Radio1 News person said "Believed to be middle eastern terrorists".. (n)

Bad of the radio.
Sounds like a false alarm, and that if so, thank goodness for that. It is good news!
A couple of weeks after the 7/7 bombs went off in London (in whose name were those attrocities carried out? a'h yes, I remember now), I was on a train to London.
a young female Somalian asylum seeker came and say at my table. Just before we pulled in to a station she asked me if I would mind watching her rucksack while she went to the toilet. I will be honest I nearly cr*pped myself for the next few minutes, and looked out for her in case she had got off at the station leaving the bag on the train. I tried to peer in to the bag without disturbing it too much. There were few people around to ask what everybody else thought. Whilse I was making my mind up whether to call the guard, she came back. I told her that under the circumstances I wished she hadn't just done that. She was shocked when I told her what I was thinking. That's when she told me where she was from, and that she felt ashamed of what some people were doing (often converts) in Islam's name. The crucial thing is that she did not blame me for being nervous. Nor should we blame the people on the bus, or the response of the regular public.

I watched the evening news and it was initially treated as a terror alert by muslims, hence the major response.

Fortunately it turned out to be nothing.

What does surprise me is the responses received here for stating the obvious ..

It was someone using one of those electronic cigerettes :ROFLMAO:!!!

perfectly legl to use inside.

we have a few people come into the pub using them, and customers always complain saying that its illegal to smoke inside and they will complain to managment.

Its a shame that its not smoke and only water vapour. :D

I've never smoked, not even 1 drag, they stink so why would I.

But after having a few to many a few weeks ago someone asked me if I'd like to try one of those electronic ones, he insisted it was completely harmless so I agreed

:yuck: :dead:

Why anyone smokes anything is beyond me, I'd rather chow down on dog sh*t, I guess it smells and tastes about the same.

My local news at teatime said it was an electronic cigarette - although I wasn't fully listening.
In the next article (unrelated story but they put them together anyway) they talked about some people arrested & something to do with terrorist activities & one (?) of them being a PCSO.

I've got friends and relatives working in the Police and Armed forces and all of them refer to muslims as "the enemy within". Right or wrong they have no choice but to treat them all with suspicion because one minute they're a colleague, next they're trying to kill people.

I've 2 close friends serving in afghanistan. Imagine being ordered to teach people how to used a weapon knowing at the first opportunity they might turn and use that weapon on you and your friends.

There is no trust, only suspicion and its deserved IMO.

A bit off-thread, but it is a policy of mind-blowing naivety to have our professional military supposedly training Afghans to take over from them. It is like giving a fox a pair of wire cutters and saying help yourself to the chickens.
