I'd welcome any ideas on this, car is Seicento 1108 (M3, MPI), new thermostat opens at 87 (it's brand new) but the radiator fan kicks in late at about 95 deg.C, is there a way I can lower this threshold ?
There doesn't seem to be a fan switch, I understand the ECU gets the engine temp. from the green sender as the only information the ECU has, please correct me if i'm wrong. The car runs fine but have had numerous overheating problems, now cured : new HG, new thermostat, radiator, pre-cat lambda sensor renewed, new green temp.sender, new spark plugs etc. I don't believe it has an airlock in the system it's been bled allright. Thanks @!

replace cap on header tank & use correct % of antifreeze

Or fit a lower temperature thermostat.

Thanks all, I'll leave it as it is for now and see what happens after the HG replacement. It's the engine design that bugs me seems prone to overheating I don't like the exhaust fitted so close to the radiator, I reckon lowering the engine temperature just a few degrees won't impact its function in the long term.

You couldheat wrap the exhaust like im going to do , and fit a better fan car builders solutions do ones that you cable tie through the rad better shrouding the cinquecento one looks a tad old school lol
