Cheers my friend, plenty oil in , no warnings show on start up only once engine heats up then it bleeps and shows switch engine off. !!! If I leave it to cool it starts n runs great :thumbup:

Hi, just a suggestion but my brother had this problem on a few cars at work, turned out to be cheap Chinese oil filters from eBay not allowing enough oil pressure when the engines warm, if you don't know what make is on it now, might be worth changing the oil and filter for a genuine one, or a good make such as coopers or guttman and ensuring the correct grade of oil is being used

Cheers man.. got a new filter engine flush and oil from halfords....... not used them yet ,as the fault just happened today and I'm worried about driving. It to work tomorrow ( 30 ) miles in case its the oil pump ..... any ideas :rolleyes::rolleyes:

careful with the flush, Iv heard horror stories about engine flushing, especially when people use non branded cheap flush to do it with. My car has had the fault twice before, oil sensor, oil pressure switch cured, but it came back, iv decided to ignore it now lol

Got STP ..the good stuff ..........I hear it cleans up the engine and removes all the sh@@t out :):)?

Cheers for the input gadge ...hope your right about the filter !!?? The thing is will I be able to drive to work without causing any more damage.......???????

I wouldn't drive it with an oil pressure fault until it has at least been diagnosed, You wouldn't want to risk damage to the big ends!!!

Yea makes sense my friend.....its just a pain and sh@@t timing ..thanks for the help troops ..keep the ideas coming...:)

:yeahthat: don't use the engine flush, it shouldn't be needed anyway tbh.

And as others have said, don't drive it any more with this fault, if it is due to low engine oil pressure it'll all end in tears :(

Re low oil presure

Hi troops just a wee update on my low pressure warning light...firstly a big thanks to every one for their help, ideas and opinions...... I changed the oil ,the filter and the oil pressure sensor. Got an oil pressure check . Took it for a wee run tonight and its running like a dream. Let's hope that's cured the electrical ghosts in the machine..:thumbup: ...big thanks n cheeeeeerrrssss.:):)
