Technical loosing water in engine

We have a T reg punto which is loosing water. The oil is still clean and the engine has not lost any power and there is no staining on the engine. When filling it back up with water we found it was air locked so we ventted the pipes.
could it be the head gastic or a lak in the heater matirx?

Could be head gasket if there are no obvious leaks from hoses.

The front water pipe is prone to corrosion so check for leaks around there also.

Leaky matrix you normally get a wet passenger footwell.
